NWLA’s First Annual Gala – “Una Sera a Napoli”

An unforgettable evening of Italian food, music, and culture.

The Northwest Language Academy and Cultural Center is pleased to announce its first annual gala, to take place on Oct. 13, 2012, at 5:30 p.m. The event, which will highlight the food, music, and culture of Italy, will be held at Freeland Hall in Freeland, Washington, on beautiful Whidbey Island. Join guests from across the world and from right here at home as we celebrate and support all that NWLA has accomplished this past year and bask in la dolce vita of Italy’s coast. All proceeds will directly support NWLA’s mission of bringing language and cultural education and events to the Pacific Northwest community.

The evening will include a cocktail hour, gourmet three-course Italian meal (with “antipasto,” “primo,” “secondo,” and, of course, “dolci”), and a live performance by Regina Thomas and Gino Lucchetti of Puget Sound Concert Opera, who will sweep guests into the enchanting world of Italian opera and song with pieces by Scarlatti, Tosti, Puccini, Ponchieli, and more.

A small live auction will offer guests the chance to bid on amazing getaways, local pampering, dinners, and art and help raise additional funds to support NWLA’s mission of cross-cultural education. The event will also feature the grand-prize drawing for NWLA’s Fiat 500 Raffle. Tickets for the car can be purchased at the event or by calling NWLA at the number below.
