NWLA Cultural Center offers international internships 

Benefits: language and cultural immersion, leadership experience, broad local community exposure opportunities, mentorship in professional and personal skills, comfortable accommodations in a safe beautiful natural environment at a popular resort area in the US Pacific Northwest.

Desirable Qualities: a native speaker who is eager to share their culture, a reliable, dynamic, open-minded, creative & fun-loving person who enjoys working with children and teenagers, as well as with adults, who has a positive outlook and is willing to undertake a variety of projects, be flexible, and follow through on commitments. A big plus: musical, artistic, drama talents.

Responsibilities: Teaching/facilitating Language Afterschool Club for children or teens, leading weekly Language conversation group. Helping with NWLA’s language & culture programs for adults and children (language immersion intensives, private or group lessons, day camps, playgroups), Global cultures program at the local school, and at other cultural events and open houses.

Term: 2 – 6 months, can be extended upon mutual agreement.

Tuition: a “package deal” which includes comfortable accommodations at a private room at NWLA’s charming Guesthouse on the premises, utilities, wireless internet. Tuition $ 650 – $1,500 per month is determined by level of experience, skills, and level of commitment as well as specific choices regarding room and board. Formal letter of invitation, pick up from/to Seatac International Airport can be arranged if needed. Busing system is free on Whidbey Island.
