NWLACC’s English Residencies give international visitors experience in the United States, while immersing you in the English language.  The residency is designed as a “learning vacation,” allowing you to enjoy one of the most picturesque areas of the United States while measurably improving your English.  In contrast to other English schools, NWLACC only accepts small groups in order to give individual attention to your needs.

We welcome residents from all corners of the globe, ages five to adult, and customize each program to your interests. Our philosophy is one of learning-while-doing, supporting you in improving your English skills while giving you a transformative cultural experience that will last a lifetime.

Cultural excursions and activities are paired with immersive in-class instruction, incorporating arts and crafts, singing, drama, gardening, storytelling, cooking, sports, and movement.

“Meeting and talking to people who live on the Island and seeing their lifestyles was an experience I could not have had anyplace else.  It was of great benefit to my son, and both of us saw much improvement in our English.”
