“The kids loved it! I especially like the performance at the end, along with the buffet. I don’t know of anything that I would change. It was a truly positive experience for the kids as well as the adults. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.”

Since 1996, NWLA’s Summer Day Camps have offered expanded global awareness and immersive language instruction to over 1,000 children from the Puget Sound area and beyond. Campers aged 7-12 enjoy a week filled with all the adventures and excitement of summer camp on our picturesque outdoor campus, while being exposed to another culture through themed music, games, arts and crafts, sports, food, and drama. Activities are conducted entirely in the target language, and vary by language and theme: Past campers have learned fencing, ceramics, flamenco, calligraphy, martial arts, campfire songs, and so much more!

A rare opportunity to dive into the life of a foreign language or culture during the crucial early years of development, NWLA’s Summer Camps are designed to promote multicultural awareness and an appreciation for the richness of other traditions starting at a young age. Children come out of NWLA’s camps as global citizens ready to contribute to a more peaceful and harmonious world.

“I was impressed by how much they learned … For the next couple of days, we were both singing ‘Le Pont d’Avignon’.” – Pat, French Camp parent
