You will not want to miss this special evening of heart-to-heart sharing with our sisters from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who have gone through so much and are now joining our communities to rebuild their lives and find a better future for their children.
Most of us don’t have a lot of insight into the refugee experience, especially when there are significant language and cultural differences between the country of origin and the U.S. This is an opportunity to share in that experience and open hearts and minds to see what can be done to help in a meaningful way.
Hear from members of Brighter Futures for Women of the Congo and the Congolese Integration Network on services that they offer to help overcome these challenges that refugees in our communities face, and how you could get involved.
Music and song is sure to be part of the evening!
