We will be showering our supporters, volunteers and community with appreciation at a special Russian Winter Celebration to be held at our festively decorated cultural center. Celebrating the launch of the Kindergarten Global Cultures Program and the successful completion of the Matching Grant Campaign will now happen during this event on December 10 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at the NWLACC facility, 5023 Langley Road, Langley, WA 98260.
Expect a rich evening of Russian music & song with Ivan da Marya delighting all with traditional Russian Folk Dancing, including jumping Cossacks! Come enjoy delicious Russian food like pelmeni, kvashennaya kapusta, pirogi and vinegret As well as genuine Russian tea served from a samovar.
And if we have all been good boys and girls we will have a special visit by Ded Moroz and his companion snow maiden Snegurochka who will reward us with goodies and treats!

Ded Moroz, translated to (Grand)father Frost, or Old Man Frost, is a legendary Slavic character that makes his rounds every New Year’s Eve. Along with his companion, Snegurochka, he brings delight to children as the two provide the little ones with gifts.
